The Kampenwand, our 'local mountain', is just one of the many opportunities for mountain hiking in the Chiemgau Alps.
In addition, the Eggstätter Seenplatte with its countless idyllic (bathing) spots and tranquil paths is just as inviting for a walk as the famous Chiemsee lakeside path. This is also ideal for a day trip around the lake by bike: a circular route for connoisseurs with a magnificent mountain and lake panorama, always directly along the shore.
From here, you can also take a detour to the islands. For example, the Chiemsee boat trip takes you from nearby Gstadt or from Prien to the Herreninsel, which, at over 2 km², offers more than enough space for long walks and thus has much more in store for you besides the famous royal castle.

Höslwang Golf Club in Chiemgau - 11 km - 18 holes - par 72. Connoisseurs consider this course to be one of the most interesting in Upper Bavaria. In the middle of the Chiemgau lake district, with views of the Wendelstein, Kampenwand and the Wilder Kaiser, the golf course offers everything a golfer could wish for in terms of play and scenery.
Chiemsee Golf Club Prien - 11 km - 18 holes - par 72. The new 18-hole course is located in the foothills of the Alps between Lake Chiemsee and the Kampenwand and impresses with its unique location. Just a few hundred meters from the 'Bavarian Sea' and within sight of the island of Herrenchiemsee, the club is situated on the grounds of an old estate. Founded in 1961, the club is one of the oldest golf courses in Bavaria.
Reit im Winkel-Kössen Golf Club - 24 km - 18 holes - par 72. The course is located in the Chiemgau region directly on the border with Tyrol and is considered one of the classic mountain courses with a correspondingly dynamic topography. It offers a fantastic view of the nearby Kaiser Mountains.
Golfclub Schloss Maxlrain - 51 km - 18 holes - par 72. The natural and idyllic golf course offers a wonderful view of the Alps and is listed as one of the 'Leading Golf Courses of Germany'.
